Sherril Lyons

Co-Host

Sherril Lyons is a native of Michigan and currently resides in Suffolk, Virginia. She graduated from Lawrence Technology University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. At LTU she was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. ”Skee Wee” and a founding member of the Pi Delta chapter.
Sherril is an accounting manager for a leading mental health fortune 500 company and has worked in the mental health industry for over 20 years. Her advocacy is to bring more awareness to mental health and empower people to speak up.
She is married to her soulmate and best friend Melvin Jr., and a proud mother of two sons, Mark and Jaylon and daughter, Maliah. As a caregiver for her dad with Alzheimer, she is compassionate with bringing awareness to Alzheimer’s and supports research for effective treatment and one day preventive care.
Sherril is the co-founder of Couples Empowerment. She enjoys helping others, shopping, event planning, traveling and spending time with family. She strives to inspire others and walking in her purpose.

Lakeshia Zumbach

Co-Host

Lakeshia Zumbach was born and raised in Virginia and currently resides in Chesapeake, VA. The state slogan "Virginia is for lovers" perfectly describes Lakeshia's view on life which is to be in a place of love. She attended and graduated from Norfolk State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. "Behold the Green and Gold". Attending an HBCU was the highlight of Lakeshia's education and provided a strong sense of pride in black culture. She went on to obtain a master's degree in accounting and healthcare administration as well as her CPA. Lakeshia has worked as an accounting manager for over fourteen years for a premier mental health organization. She is married to an amazing man, David and they share three beautiful daughters and a handsome son.
Lakeshia is the co-founder of Couples Empowerment. She enjoys traveling with her family and she's an avid reader. Learning and exploring is the key to one's continued evolution. She believes that love conquers all and sharing your life with the ones you love is the greatest gift of all.
